The perfect harmony

Its name, Capri, evokes the famous island in southern Italy, and this enormous yacht was launched in 2003 at the request of one of the Moran Yacht & Ship Company’s clients. This international brokerage company, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, specializes in the promotion, buying and selling of large yachts and is recognized for managing shipbuilders like Lürssen, Feadship, Delta, Hateras, Bertram and others.

Moran Yacht & Ship was totally involved in the building of the Capri (manufactured by Lürssen), from gathering technical data to contract negotiations, which resulted in a combination of luxury and practical standards that are obvious throughout the vessel.  

The design of the exteriors and interiors is the work of Glade Johnson, who used smooth and curved techniques both inside and outside the yacht, which has five decks, to create cozy, comfortable spaces with classic details combined with contemporary touches.

 

 

 

At 192 feet, with a cruising speed of 16 knots, the hugeness of the Capri offers visitors plenty of space for entertaining. The more formal areas feature inlaid marble, engraved woods and silk textiles. The upper deck is really unique, both in size and décor, which is all in tones of white. Also on this deck are the auditorium, bar and two areas for relaxation. Twelve people can be accommodated in six ample suites. There are four areas of similar dimensions, with large vents, located on the lower deck. There is also space to accommodate
between 13 and 15 crew members on this deck.

The central deck has a large suite with an enormous onyx bathroom. A second VIP cabin, with large beds, is next to it, as are the library and the office.

 

 

 

The main salon with a formal dining area, is in the stem as is the garage, which has two hydraulic doors that open onto port and starboard, for the loading and unloading of kayaks, bikes and other sports equipment.

The wheelhouse is totally equipped with cuttingedge technology, including the navigation and Imtech monitoring systems. The captain’s cabin and the music room are professionally equipped.

 

 

The observation deck provides a spectacular view from inside as well as from the outdoors, which is protected from the wind. In the stem is a fitness room and outdoor Jacuzzi Spa, as well as an area designed for relaxing. The sunning area can also be used as a heliport.
