The ultimate recreational yacht

Ferretti Yachts introduces its new megayacht which aims to become the flagship of the shipyard, the Ferretti 960. The vessel is the result of cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Projects, AYT (Advanced Yacht Technologi) which is the center of naval research and design group and, the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup team of architects and designers who were inspired by the 881 model, one of the most successful of the brand, to develop this project.

With its overall length of 29.20 meters and a 23.98 hull, the boat is designed for the recreational sector, perfect for those who are not experts at sea, as the Ferretti 960 can be equipped with three sets of MTU engines. In terms of power, the standard version will have two 16V 2000 M84, of 2218 mph. These engines allow a maximum speed of 27.5 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. Other options include two M93 16V, 2435 mph and another with two M94 16V, 2638 mph, respectively. The first will have a top speed of 29 knots and a cruise speed of 25 knots, while the latter may reach a maximum of 31 knots and enjoy a cruising speed of 27 knots (preliminary data).

In this latter option the hull will be equipped with a more powerful propulsion system as well as with an ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) for maximum comfort on board.

The life style configured for this yacht is demonstrated in four double cabins of similar dimensions for guests on the lower deck, while the master is located in the bow of the main deck. This cabin is designed to ensure maximum privacy and silence, thanks the sound insulation systems installed in the partition walls of the kitchen.

In the other hand, the crew cabins (for up to 5 members) are at the end of the bow and have a separate access from the kitchen.

Windows are extended throughout the main deck, making a lighter, more sporty style enhancing  the entry of natural light through both sides of the boat, thus, increasing the brightness within the ship. In a similar way, the cabins area has four large windows of equal size for each of the double cabins, improving comfort and liveability of your guests.

The flybridge has more space now. It has been designed specifically for the relaxation of the passengers who will have a unique experience under the sun on the ocean. There are two entrances to the flybridge; one is the stairway from the cockpit, the other from the steering position of the main deck. The second helm station is located on the port side of the fly, and is equipped with an electrically adjustable height seat.

The design of the Ferretti 960 in the aft area, is focused in the joy of sailing without worrying about functionality, where the tasks of stowage and launching the tender have also improved their performance

The garage door has been lined with padded cushions which can be used for   sunbathing. The swim platform is equipped with a movable section to be used in the tender. This area drops to different depths, so when opening the central part of the platform, part of the garage is flooded so that the auxiliary platform slides smoothly with a winch. Here, you have the option of storing an approximately 4.5 meters boat or scuba diving equipment.

At starboard is the co-pilot seat and behind it is the bar area with two armoires for a refrigerator (icemaker is installed upon request), sink, grill, and a serving bar as well as an optional Jacuzzi. At Aft there is also a solarium that is protected by a hardtop with an opening section at the center.

The interior is a room divided into living and dining areas, the latter with a table that can comfortably accommodate up to 12 diners. This area is equipped with a small bar, walls with panoramic views and a central manifold leading to different areas (bathroom, a cabin and kitchen).

The kitchen, which located at the port bow, has three different entrances. One can enter from the living room from the aft cockpit and from the crew cabins. This solution allows complete independence from the crew who can also circulate with total freedom of movement for their daily work.

Thus, the Ferretti 960 becomes a unique basic recreational option.
