Advanced Technologies & Italian Creativity with a Green Spirit

The shipping company Arcadia Yachts surprised the market with its concept of disruptive mega yachts, challenging in many ways. It has done it in a big way too, placing itself among the leading competitors in the industry in just seven years. During this time, they have delivered the most innovative and remarkable yachts, which remain cutting-edge for many years after their first appearance on the market.

One of the key objectives for Arcadia, when designing the A85 model, involved the combination of different exterior functions on a single deck, with a length of 85ft and 100m2 of inhabitable spaces. The linear design of the superstructure and the vertical line of the arch allows for better use of each internal and external space. For walls, thermal insulation glazing was used, which removes the boundaries between the exterior and the interior to allow an infinite view of the beautiful seascapes while sailing, and at the same time increases sound insulation to improve comfort onboard, attenuating heat and humidity.

Arcadia Yachts is a passionate innovator of green technologies. The A85 is equipped with an advanced, environmentally friendly system that consists of 40m2 of panels installed along most of the superstructure; 35m2 of new-generation photovoltaic cells compose the outer and inner surfaces of the double solar panels, which gene-rate an impressive 4.5 kW of zero emissions, and provide most of the energy needed to power the equipment onboard. It also significantly reduces the use of generators. The spaces are insulated with multi-layer sound absorbing materials, and it contributes to the decrease of noise perceived by guests.

In Arcadia Yachts, there are around 300 craftsmen and specialists in different departments, ready to assemble in detail the desired yacht for each client. Since it was launched, the A85 has sold 12 fully customized boats, providing, in each voyage, the feeling of being in complete synchrony with the environment in each one of its 50m2 of stern-deck and 40m2 of outdoor space.

The main deck of the A85 is a large relaxing space that combines interior and outdoor areas. They converge harmoniously together and form a continuous space significantly larger than other yachts of similar dimensions. The main lounge, in the bow area, has a dining room where guests can be served directly from the galley through a sliding hatch.

The open lounge is ideal for outdoor dining and family time. Four guest cabins are located in the lower deck, out of which, the owner's cabin is located at the center with 32m2. It features a bathroom and wellness area of unprecedented dimensions. There is also a VIP cabin with double bed and dressing room, plus two twin guest cabins. Crew cabins are located in the bow section, with optional internal stairs that connect to the working areas and the galley.

The Arcadia A85 has a modern rudder station with state-of-the-art instrumentation, open to both crew and guests who wish to participate in the navigation process. The yacht is powered by twin diesel engines that generate R6-730hp each, for a maximum speed of 18.5 knots and a range of approximately 850 nautical miles at 12.0 knots.

The philosophy of Arcadia Yachts is "design and ethical sense"—appreciation and respect for the environment: an ecological idea that translates into solutions that reduce consumption and environmental impact, and which in turn, is ideal to enjoy the sea more freely and responsibly, because the future of yachting is a little greener every day.
