Built for the Expert Yachtsman

Lürssen Areti underwent effortlessly successful sea trials and was delivered to its owner on July 2017. Formerly known as project Sasha, this 85-meter is sporty and youthful in comparison to its former versions. Winch Design was responsible for both the exterior and interior design, providing perfect balance and harmony between spaces, combining Lürssen tradition with an American classic twist.

Winch Design worked closely with the Lürssen project team to create a vessel this size that would excel technically and in terms of performativity—a yacht that would reflect the shipyard’s experience in engineering and creativity. Areti is completely customized to the Owner’s requirements, with a subtle cream hull, white superstructure and whisper grey accents. The 15-meter beam allows volume and a family-oriented layout that is also welcoming to a large party of guests, simultaneously offering a cozy and intimate atmosphere.

For Lürssen, luxury and yachting go hand in hand, and Areti stands as a perfect example of comfort, traditional styling and an undeniable luxurious atmosphere, created by the hand-embroidered silks of the soft furnishings and the brushed, antiqued brass ironmongery. The main deck welcomes guests with a granite reception bar flanked by semi-custom armchair-style, teak barstools complete with customized, illuminated beer tap proudly displaying the yacht logo. The opulent lounge and dining areas are divided by a central Credenza.

These spaces were conceived for relaxation, with ample seating areas and a state-of-the-art piano disc IQ premium system that is capable of playing itself, should guests lack the presence of a pianist. In the dining area, a regal table—handmade in the UK—comfortably sits 12 to 16 guests on hand-turned silk dining chairs with hand-embroidered decorative back-panels.

On the main corridor, guests may find the elevator, which travels across all levels; it features a nautical compass inlay on the floor, formed from dark Emprador, light Emprador and Botticino marbles, which can be found in the entire yacht. The master suite and two VIP cabins are located in the Owner’s deck; two cabins are forward in the main deck, while the rest—four guest suites—are located in the lower deck. The design for the guest cabins is neutral with colorful details found in the cushions, the hand-sewn curtains and other soft furnishings.

The VIP cabins flank the master suite, and are equipped with ensuite Jacuzzi baths, his and her dressing rooms, while the master’s suite boasts 180-degree views of the sea through the panoramic windows, which are bordered by made-to-measure unique curved furniture tailored to fit the arched window. The owner’s deck also features a Jacuzzi spa, a spacious sunbed, a breakfast table and a small seating area. Forward of this area is the certified helipad for easy transportation to land or other vessels. One of the most beautiful spaces in the yacht is the sky lounge, with giant sofas and a flat screen TV, a games table and bar.

Aft of the lower deck, the spa displays a hand crafted rose mosaic from famous Serbian artist Andjelka Radojevic, and offers a steam room, sauna, a pool and a hot tub, along with the full banya experience. The showers come with multi-temperature, -light, -acoustic and -aroma settings to simulate a Niagara waterfall or a Caribbean storm. The spa also offers a beauty salon and a massage chamber. This area extends to the adjacent wet lounge and beach club, where guests will find Lürssen's characteristic staircase to the sea.

There is a gym on the bridge deck, housing a Jacuzzi tub for up to 12 people, a treadmill, elliptical cross trainers, wellness balls, weights and yoga equipment. The captain’s cabin is located forward of the gym, along with the ship's office and the bridge. The engine room is the heart of the yacht and a masterpiece of Lürssen engineering, with polished stainless steel appliances. Areti is powered by two MTU engines of 2,000 kW each, which provide a maximum speed of 17 knots. The four fin zero-speed stabilizers reduce wave-generated motion ensuring a smoother navigation.
