The Monaco Yacht Show announced the winners of the 2026 Blue Wake Awards, honoring innovators leading the transition toward a more sustainable future in the superyacht sector.
This year, 60 accredited exhibitors participated in the MYS Blue Wake program, each meeting strict environmental criteria across five categories: emissions reduction, circular material economy, eco-design and innovation, marine ecosystem protection, and nautical services.
2026 Blue Wake Award Winners:
- Luxury Services and Products: Bespoke Projects – GreenCast cast acrylic made from recycled monomer (R-MMA) for yacht interior furniture, joinery, and special finishes.
- Nautical Supplier: Termodinamica – Direct expansion marine HVAC (inverter heat pump).
- Construction/Refit Shipyards: Amico & Co. – Sustainable superyacht refit shipyard (Genoa) featuring a 1 MW photovoltaic installation.
- Tenders/Water Toys: Tykun – Tykun X and Tykun XII aluminum-hull tenders, assessed via a comprehensive cradle-to-grave life cycle analysis, with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) currently in preparation.
- Nautical Services/Brokerage/Charter: Posidonia seagrass meadow restoration.
Special Blue Wake Award for a Yacht: Simena by Ares – 62m sailing yacht with a hybrid propulsion system.
- 2026 Blue Wake Recognition – Special Mention: Special thanks to VPLP Design for being the only design firm participating in Blue Wake this year.
