The Seine river crosses Paris’s sheltering docks where the “péniches” anchor. Péniches are flat-bottomed boats designed for navigating through canals. There are also all kinds of small sailboats and private yachts, as well as the “bâteaux mouches” that tour this beautiful city and its bridges.
