Therewas once amarvelous palace, temple of les années folles (the wild years), that was renowned for its gorgeous Art Déco façade, that today is classified as a historicmonument.

Inaugurated January 10, 1929, it was admired by the English who strolled through Promenade des Anglais, and the entireworld. Here, they could experience the delight of listening to the great voices of that time, from Edith Piaf to Maurice Chevalier, Josephine Baker and Yves Montand.

Nonetheless, the Palais de la Méditerranée was abandoned for 23 years until it was acquired by the Taittinger group. That was when, keeping the legendary façade, this wonderful, luxury hotel and casino was born.

Today the property, an immense space hidden behind the façade, is an exceptional hotel with elegant rooms, a pool, the “Le Padouk” restaurant —where chef Bruno Sohn delights the finest of palates—and the Pingala Bar.

The Palais is a permanent pleasure, a delicacy that flows from the past but at the rhythm of today, pulsating anew with the voices of its casino.

The Palais de la Méditerranée is the new hot spot in Nice where to be seen is good and where, naturally, living is sweet.
