Chopard presents a new version of the L.U.C 1963 Heritage Regulator model, an elegant reinterpretation of one of the classics from the L.U.C collection.

Released in a limited series of 25 pieces available exclusively at Chopard boutiques, it revives the regulator mechanism through a contemporary vision of Haute Horlogerie. With a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 10.30 mm, its 18-carat ethical white gold case boasts harmonious dimensions and elegant lines. Extending the tone of the white gold, the silver-toned dial lends great aesthetic harmony to the watch while ensuring clear, precise timekeeping.

Regulators hold a special place in the history and precision of time measurement. Inspired by the master clocks once used as references in watchmaking workshops and observatories, this type of dial separates the indications to optimize legibility.

Instead of sharing a common axis, the hours, minutes, and seconds are displayed independently, allowing for exceptionally clear time reading.

This L.U.C model perpetuates this tradition while enriching it with particularly useful additional functions. A slender central hand indicates the minutes, while the hours are read on a sub-dial at 3 o'clock and the small seconds at 6 o'clock.

To balance the composition, a 24-hour GMT display is included at 9 o'clock and a power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, complemented by a discreet date display at 6 o'clock.

The sapphire crystal case-back allows the L.U.C 98.02-L movement to be admired. The silver-toned dial complements the gleam of the white gold case. This harmonious blend of tones creates a sense of balance, enhanced by a carefully orchestrated interplay of finishes: a satin-brushed sunburst pattern contrasts with opaline sub-dials, subtle textured details, and blue transferred markings. These elements add depth and character without ever distracting from the watch's primary function: providing a clear reading of the time.

Beating at the heart of the watch is the L.U.C 98.02-L manual-winding movement; designed, developed, and manufactured entirely by the artisans at Chopard Manufacture, it embodies the mastery and innovation that the workshops have upheld since the inception of the L.U.C collection.

Equipped with exclusive Chopard Quattro technology, it offers an exceptional power reserve of 216 hours—or nine days. This remarkable performance is achieved while maintaining a remarkably slender movement profile, measuring just 4.90 mm in thickness.
