The Royal Oak Joaillerie collection debuts with the Risoud Eclipse and Dream of Joux High Jewellery creations, alongside a Frosted Gold series.
Inspired by the pioneering spirit of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak timepiece, the collection revisits the signature geometry of its bracelet. Through a fusion of multidisciplinary expertise, architectural lines, and contemporary elegance, the design of its sculpted links plays with proportions, texture, and light—metaphorically bridging the past and the future, watchmaking and jewellery, technical precision and artistic freedom.
The striking geometry, bold character, and natural affinity the Royal Oak shares with jewellery serve as the inspiration for this collection, which unveils versatile, expressive new designs crafted to accompany the stories and life moments of today’s generations.
This new jewellery collection establishes a dialogue between the aesthetic codes of the Royal Oak and Audemars Piguet’s home in the Vallée de Joux, drawing on evocative motifs, symbolic textures, colour gradients, and tactile sensations.
The multifaceted landscape of the valley is reimagined in the Dream of Joux line, featuring sophisticated gem-setting that adds depth, rhythmic harmony, and a sensual resonance to the collection’s striking architecture.
Frozen lakes, clear night skies, and floral motifs come to life across a series of unique bracelets crafted in 18-carat white, yellow, and rose gold, enriched by a palette of deep blues, vibrant greens, vivid pinks, and sun-drenched hues.
Each design is adorned with a carefully curated selection of gemstones, including diamonds, sapphires, spessartite garnets, tourmalines, amethysts, tsavorite garnets, and topazes. The Dream of Joux line also includes a set consisting of a tie-style necklace and matching long earrings, which evoke a dreamlike winter landscape with their cascading pear-cut diamonds and links made of blue anodized titanium, featuring a "snow-set" arrangement of blue sapphires.
Risoud Eclipse [opening photo] alludes to the fundamental role that La Vallée de Joux played in celestial observation, reimagining the Risoud forest beneath a dark sky, complete with the subtle halo of an eclipse. The line’s inaugural necklace and its matching bracelet feature links and studs made of black PVD-coated titanium, accented by striking sugarloaf-cut emeralds surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds.
The conical facets of the emeralds have been meticulously ground and polished to allow light to enter from every angle, highlighting their vibrant color. The interplay between the satin-finished and chamfered surfaces of the links and studs—a hallmark of the Manufacture—amplifies the radiance of the stones.
Finally, an additional series of bracelets and necklaces, featuring a shimmering "Frosted Gold" finish in 18-karat white, rose, or yellow gold, captures the shifting luminosity of La Vallée de Joux. Inspired by an ancient Florentine technique, this ornamental motif was developed in collaboration with jewelry designer Carolina Bucci in 2016 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the women’s Royal Oak; it has since become one of Audemars Piguet’s signature finishes. The "diamond-dust" effect—achieved by gently hammering the precious metal with a diamond-tipped tool—is further enhanced by mirror-polished, chamfered studs, creating a constant play of light.
