With a strong presence of independent creators, the twentieth edition of the Salón Internacional Alta Relojería (SIAR) opens its doors today at The St. Regis Mexico City, running until October 22.

Fifty watchmaking brands will participate, offering collectors, enthusiasts, and industry professionals the chance to discover their latest releases and engage in conversation with the founders and executives of the industry.

The program features international launches, limited editions designed specifically for the Mexican market, and a selection of representative pieces from the exhibiting houses—some of which are rarely seen in standard retail outlets.

The participation of historic brands—such as Hublot, Tudor, Breitling, Panerai, Piaget, Zenith, Longines, and Grand Seiko—alongside independent labels and contemporary design-focused brands, will allow visitors to explore the full diversity of today’s watchmaking landscape.

According to Carlos Alonso, director and founder of SIAR, “the strong presence of independent watchmaking is a standout feature of this edition. We want visitors to discover different approaches to watchmaking and have the opportunity to speak directly with the creators themselves.”
