Chopard Manufacture launched the 2022 with the tradition of the zodiac calendar and the know-how of Haute Horlogerie. Added to the L.U.C collection is L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Tiger, limited to 88 pieces.

As has been tradition since 2013, Chopard, The Artisian of Emotions, will celebrate 2022, the Year of the Tiger, with a new watch highly anticipated by collectors and whose dial is decorated with a motif inspired by the Chinese zodiac calendar, according to the ancestral and perfectly preserved technique of Urushi lacquering.

The year of the Water Tiger will begin on February 1, 2022, and end on January 21, 2023. An earth sign symbolizing fortune, wisdom, intelligence, creativity, and optimism, Chopard has succeeded in crafting one of its most artistic creations.

The tiger, long associated with the figure of the emperor and other state dignitaries, the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Tiger features a case entirely carved in 18K rose gold. It measures 39.5 mm in diameter and only 6.80 mm thick, making it an ultra-thin watch.

This, possible because it has resorted to the L.U.C 96. 17-L manufacture movement, and, despite its extremely small dimensions, this movement is self-winding, with a total power reserve of 65 hours.
