Spring / Summer 2026
Reaffirming that contemporary luxury is, above all, narrative, craftsmanship, reflection and spectacle, Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 showcased the very best in fashion.
Chanel
Matthieu Blazy's debut was a galactic event. Under a canopy of suspended planets at the Grand Palais, the French-Belgian designer paid tribute to Gabrielle Chanel's modernity and freedom. Reinventing the tailored suit with masculine echoes inspired by Boy Capel, he closed with ethereal dresses adorned with feathers and flowers.
Miu Miu
Miuccia Prada returned to uniforms, functionality, and reality. Drawing inspiration from the portraits of female workers by Helga Paris and Dorothea Lange, the designer elevated the humble apron to a symbol of female resistance. Miu Miu mixed canvas, leather, taffeta and jewellery to create a powerful reflection on the beauty of effort and everyday dignity.
Valentino
With 'Fireflies', Alessandro Michele delivered his most poetic interpretation yet as creative director at Valentino. Drawing inspiration from a letter by film director Pier Paolo Pasolini, the designer explored the concept of light as a form of resistance in uncertain times. His more restrained yet deeply emotional proposal combined fluid tailoring, transparencies, velvet and bows to create a cinematic atmosphere that spoke of hope through beauty.
Balenciaga
Pierpaolo Piccioli has brought romanticism and pure emotion to Balenciaga. His “Heartbeat” collection translated the house's sculptural architecture into vibrant, modern silhouettes, evoking the legendary “Sack Dress” with an intense colour palette adorned with flowers, tassels and black leather. It was a declaration of love for the craft and signalled a new era for the fashion house.
