Globally, the mezcal is positioned as one of the favorite drinks of distillate connoisseurs; before it, took place the presentation of Oaxaca Mezcal Road and Route, campaign that promotes the benefits of this product and will help strengthening as one of the favorite drinks of consumers.

The project has received an investment, from the Oaxaca state government, which so far is located at 288 million pesos. Amount that has been applied in certification and training to producers mezcaleros while improving the equipment used in its preparation.

As a result of this investment, production has increased and sales of mezcal in Mexico have increased 110%, while exports registered an increase of 137 percent.

The international presentation of the campaign, was attended by the state governor of Oaxaca Gabino Cue, Secretary of Tourism and Economic Development of Oaxaca, José Zorrilla de San Martin Diego, Juan Pablo Castañón, National President of Coparmex and Oaxacan mezcal producers.
