The chair is upholstered with a thin cloth and gold finishes, is estimated between 460,000 and $ 760.000 baseline.

The piece is the only survivor of a set of eight chairs and eight chairs that were commissioned by Marie Antoinette in 1780 for a pavilion of the Palace of Versailles.
