The Michelin Guide awards "Michelin Keys" to hotels based on criteria such as architecture and design, service quality, personality, and attention to detail.

In Mexico, this distinction—which identifies the standout establishments within the hotel selection—was awarded to 98 properties in the 2026 edition. Among the chosen properties are Viceroy Riviera Maya in Quintana Roo, Casa Santo Origen in Oaxaca, Cigno Hotel Boutique in Mérida, Casona Sforza in Puerto Escondido, and Naboa in Tulum. The first four have retained their place in the selection, while Naboa receives the distinction for the first time.
