Luxury and adventures in a corner of Alaska

This is one of the most sumptuous private lodges in Alaska. It is located 100 miles away from the nearest road, in the largest reserve and national park of the United States, the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. In this park the Chugach, Wrangell and San Elias mountain ranges converge along with the greatest group of glaciers in all of America.

The lodge has got five private log cabins built with local wood and designed to maximize intimacy. The main building is located along a hill; a large picture window gives an unsurpassable view of the Chitina river and of the southern mountains. The hosts, Paul Claus (a renowned light aircraft pilot) and Donna Claus (a retired ski competitor and first class chef) promise personalized experiences to enjoy likewise luxury and authentic adventures. During the spring season, they offer flights to the mountain tops for you to ski down, or to ski at the long slopes near the valleys and, at the end of the day, having a genuine gourmet dinner, prepared with ingredients exclusive from the region.
